Billing is workspace-based. A plan unlocks software capabilities for one workspace, while Flares cover usage-sensitive work such as AI generation, cloud-render overage, and future API or batch render automation.
Plan model
Subscriptions pay for the editor and workflow layer: local exports, standard cloud render allowances, storage, smart asset search, queue priority, collaboration, and API access where included.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Seats | Monthly Flares grant | Standard cloud renders | Beta MCP tool calls | Storage | Asset search | Cloud render access |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creator | $15/month | $144/year | 1 editor | 500/month | 50/month | 1M/week | 5 GB | Smart, up to 5K assets | 1080p included |
| Pro | $32/month | $300/year | 1 editor | 1,250/month | 200/month | 1M/week | 25 GB | Smart, up to 25K assets | 1080p included, 4K with Flares |
| Team | $99/month | $948/year | 3 editors included | 5,000/month | 500 pooled/month | 4M pooled/week | 100 GB | Smart, up to 100K assets | 4K included |
Annual plans are paid yearly, but included Flares are granted monthly. Team workspaces are seat-based: extra editor seats add $29/month or $288/year each, plus 500 monthly Flares, 150 standard cloud renders per month, and beta 1M MCP tool calls per week per extra seat.
MCP tool-call limits use a generous beta rolling 7-day window and may change before general availability: Free, Creator, and Pro workspaces include 1M calls per week, while Team includes 4M pooled calls per week plus extra-seat allowances. Listing tools and OAuth handshakes do not count; actual tools/call requests count toward the workspace allowance. AI generation, cloud rendering, storage, and large media uploads are still governed by their own billing and quota rules.
Free workspaces keep basic asset search over metadata. Smart asset search, including semantic vectors over captions, transcripts, and generation prompts, is a paid workspace entitlement. Smart search indexes up to 5K assets on Creator, 25K on Pro, and 100K on Team; assets beyond the plan cap remain available through metadata search.
Flares
Flares are the workspace balance for metered usage. The app shows an estimate before generation or a paid cloud render starts, then reserves Flares while the job is running.
- AI model calls are priced at provider cost with no Flare model markup. Internally, $1 of provider cost equals 250 Flares.
- Top-ups are available after a workspace has an active subscription. The current top-up is $25 for 6,000 Flares.
- Purchased top-up Flares do not expire. Subscription Flares are granted for the cycle and reset with the subscription period.
- Provider or system failures release the reserved Flares. User cancellation after work starts, invalid inputs, policy violations, and abuse may not be refunded.
Cloud renders
Local exports are part of the editor. Cloud render allowances only apply to server-side MP4 renders that meet the standard render definition: MP4, up to 30 seconds, and within the included plan resolution.
4K on Pro, long renders, non-standard presets, API render, and future batch automation use Flares. The render quote shows the estimated Flares before the job starts.
Storage
Storage is attached to the workspace plan:
- Free: 100 MB
- Creator: 5 GB
- Pro: 25 GB
- Team: 100 GB
Single media uploads can be up to 25 MB on Free workspaces and 250 MB on paid workspaces. Generated assets, uploads, audio, and video all count toward workspace storage.
Before a batch
- Confirm the target workspace is selected.
- Test one output before generating many variants.
- Keep the prompt and aspect ratio stable while comparing models.
- Export a short review pass before rendering final files.
- Check the workspace balance and standard cloud render allowance.
When usage looks wrong
Check whether the work happened in a different workspace, whether a teammate ran a batch, or whether repeated retries created extra jobs. If the project is still open, inspect recent generation and render activity before rerunning the same work.
